Geek: Make good use of google and mediafire

My first source of downloading anything is mediafire. This brilliant little site which consists any thing you could ever fancy (comics, albums, individual songs etc…).

Now this might be a little tricky, but once you get a hang of it, you will find it very useful.

To look for music files, use this:

Google: site:mediafire.com mp3|wma|ogg

For a specific artist, include the artist’s name:

Google: site:mediafire.com mp3|wma|ogg daughtry

For a specific song, include the song name:

Google: site:mediafire.com mp3|wma|ogg “over you”

For video files, use this:

Google: site:mediafire.com asf|rm|avi|mp4|wmv|flv

For Comics, use this:

Google: site:mediafire.com cbr|cbz

To search for a specific comic title, include it in the query:

Google: site:mediafire.com cbr|cbz hulk

For archives:

Google: site:mediafire.com rar|zip

When you go to the resulting MediaFire page, look for this:

First, make up your mind. What is it that you are searching for? Once you know, what it is that you want exactly, you can (a) Click through the link directly and edit it in google by adding the artist of book you need (b) you can just type it in google till you memorize the damn code and act like a smart-ass when people ask you for anything.

Example:

Lets say, I want to download Radical’s face latest album. Since a whole album would be either a zip or rar file, I would type in the google search bar:

site:mediafire.com rar|zip Radical face

Radical_face_album_example

So, the first part would be the site (which in this case is mediafire), the second part would be the type of file you need and the last part would be you being even more specific, adding the name or title.

Note that:

  • cbr/cbz for comics
  • zip/rar for albums or anything zipped in a folder
  • mp3/wma/ogg would be for individual songs
  • mp4/asf/flv/wmv/avi would be for videos

As I mentioned earlier, all it needs is a little getting used to. The results are awesome though, so it’s worth it.

Of course, sometimes you can’t find stuff here…this is only a first source. Still, if you got trouble figuring this out, let me know by leaving a comment or emailing me.

Happy Searching.

Note: Show your appreciation through buying artists work, the only reason I do this is because most of the stuff are banned here. So yeah, don’t be a jerk.

this is basically my life.
