important macOS applications
one thing i do is download a lot of applications, test them and choose one for every task/function and delete the rest. here’s a list of the best apps (and the ones i currently use):
(i will update this when i find anything as important as these)

Remote File Manager aka iOS SNES Emulator
A Double P Review: Every so often the stranglehold that Apple imposes on their App Store loosens and greatness is allowed to slip through the cracks. Tonight it has happened again. Remote File Manager is an app currently sitting at the top of the paid app chart for one reason: this app allows you to play Super Nintendo games on your iPhone or iPad. Simply link the app to your Dropbox account, create a folder for your SNES ROMs, and play until your battery dies. It’s really that simple.
If you have any interest at all in playing SNES games on your iDevices, I advised downloading it as soon as possible because it’s only a matter of time before it gets pulled.

Spideo Instant Movie Discovery (iPad)
Spideo allows you to explore and discover thousands of movies and TV shows matched to your exact mood and wishes. With this app you’ll receive recommendations for the most relevant titles and be able to watch them using your iTunes or Netflix account.
after downloading this, i deleted all the other movie apps i had. here’s what you can do with this brilliant app:
- look up films
- read abou them
- rate them to automatically generate recommendations
- find similar films to a film you chose
- save your ‘to watch’ list
- look up films based on actors/actresses and directors
- foreign films, shows, animation and animes are included
- look up films based on genre or feelings
very neat interface too!

probably the best i’ve seen so far!
plus, it’s free. so win, win!

8tracks app (iOS)(android) - the only reason i’d consider getting a 3G connection
the only thing it’s missing is the ability to actually create a mixtape from your phone, other than that it’s perfect (maybe even better than browsing through the web).
go download it now and since i don’t post a lot of music, you can follow me there too.

soundcloud downloader (macOS) - because the internet just keeps on giving and giving and giving
i’ve been on an intense music discovery rampage (if that makes any sense) and most of the songs are from soundcloud. very neat, fast and easy to use.
just make sure you support the artists, tell them how much you love them and appreciate their work.
no windows users, i didn’t forget you. here’s the best windows version i could find, please let me know if it works nicely.
ps: everything is free!

moodagent - playlist creator based on your mood (iOS)(blackberry)(android)(nokia)
one of my personal favorite (and most used apps). easy to use, neat interface, semi-accurate with the whole mood thing, you can save a playlist if you like it AND it recommends similar artists.
